Transitioning to Management
Overview (2 day programme).
A newly appointed team-leaders or manager faces unique challenges in establishing themselves in their position and bedding down in their new role. Many challenges lie ahead, from ensuring that their direct report undertake their work to high standards, to compliance with policies and procedures, to managing underperformance .
This course will equip newly appointed managers with the skills and confidence to undertake their new role. In group discussion, they will explore different approaches they can implement in their new roles.
This comprehensive two-day programme equips new managers and team-leaders with the full skillset required to manage and motivate people, manage performance, understand employee legislation, build an effective team, and engage in personal and professional development.
Approach
The training methods employed will centre on developing a highly interactive environment where participants will learn through a combination of short presentations, interactive discussion, exercises and role-plays structured within a ‘safe’ learning environment.
Feedback from the trainer will suggest strengths and development areas and participants will be asked to complete a Personal Development Plan throughout the course.
